The Almost-Speeches
Almost-speeches are speeches that are almost-given (away), and probably not very long, or interesting . . . :
The Almost-Party - Quit Jogging
By: Max Buzzell
Date: 2008-08-15
Addressing an almost-empty auditorium (fairly big room).
As with many parties, after a while interest wanes and members almost disappear. As with many marathons, joggers return to their day jobs eventually. And so it was with the almost-run up to the 2008 November election.
The following was the lineup until we all decided to do "something else." That doesn't mean that we're not still hopeful for next time . . .
Almost-Running (just jogging):

Almost-elect the almost-nominated almost-candidate of the Almost Party: Max Buzzell. He is the only almost-serious almost-candidate that is almost-running, is almost-electable, and may even almost-win!!!!
Almost-Members of the Political Almost-Action Committee

El Pollo Diablo - Would have run (in 2008), except that it is hard to do that when you're an almost-dead, mostly-chicken, almost-pirate.

Michele Monet - Might consider running if politics ever got more whimsical, unorthodox, altered, extemporaneous, offbeat, off-balanced, or musical. (She says.)

Diva Princess Lapdog - Prefers to stay in the background due to limited vocabulary in English: Woof, woof, woof, grrr.
