The Almost-Party
Like many political parties, the Almost-Party has an abundance of fairly fixed positions on the issues (we just haven't changed them yet), and we also like to almost-keep up with the times and the other parties as best we can (given the budget constraints, you understand), and, of course, almost-listen to the people and what's going on (ah, what?). And here's how:
From the Political Almost-Action Committee:

Individually, we almost-run (jog) for office.

Together, we follow the herd (wherever that takes us).

When the going gets wet, we still keep on jogging, and we think a lot about soaring with the eagles and the Cesnas.

Now is the time to think a lot about doing something slightly different.

Leaving space to the likes of Richard Branson, the Chinese, and the French is probably ok for now.
If the grass, the field, and other things around you look pretty much the same as they did last year, the almost-party might be for you. The Almost-Party is: almost-left, yet almost-right (for your convenience); almost-green, but not too fanatical (if you know what I mean); almost-attractive, but not really populist; almost-prepared enough to be almost-smug, and yet always acknowledging that there is a lot of room for improvement everywhere.

Oh, yes, and the convention this year will be on a conference call. We will be posting the number and the security code soon.
